 ADItv updates help needed
« Thread Started on Mar 3, 2009, 5:05pm »

I will be making lots more videos for the ADItv site to fill in the gaps.
Are there any other videos you would like made?
I will also be looking for people to help make theses videos.
Im looking for all standards. You would need to come to Kidderminster near Birmingham.
If you like to help, drop me a line to mail@blainewalsh.co.uk

Hi blaine........ well ive just failed my part 3 twice now my first attempt wasnt tooooo bad got 3/4 but second attempt got 3/3

I really didnt enjoy the second attempt as the chap ex was a right sod ( being polite) so really could do with you making a vid with you being a right pain in the ass and seeing how it is handled propely by the p.d.i ............

As most of your vids show you or someone else being rather nice as the pupil ...... really could do with seeing some strop lol.

Hope you understand that

Thanks Toni.

I agree with Tonibishop, I failed my 1st attempt 3 weeks ago (4/3 on pst 9) and the SE role played a complete bully and he ran rings around my quiet polite nature making it very difficult for me to gain control because I was not expecting an SE to portray this kind of character.

hi to both - sorry to hear of the bad news for you, :-[

i realise you are responding to blaines message but rather than focussing on blaines video's which are actually top rate..... just take stock of where you are

i don't want to come across patronising, but there's loads to learn from the fail.... it's not all doom and gloom..... believe me when i say i know where you are coming from with the comments about the SE - i said the same in my posts..... but...... dont focus on blaines stuff...... its top notch.... focus on what you need to do so that when you get that SE next time, you can nail him/her

hope this comes across ok

Hi Tucker,
I agree with you entirely, I learned alot from the fail which is why I posted the comments, Blaines videos are the best but I just think that other PDIs would benefit from knowing how an SE could behave on test because if you go for your test thinking that the SE is going to role play a pupil that is going to be fairly easy to control you could be in for a big shock as i was.
Blaine is asking what videos we would like made and I think maybe a couple of vids portraying a very difficult SE/pupil would be very useful to a PDI about to have their first attempt.

yea.... good point colin

i think the thing that did it for me was the flooding of non-subject related faults. and i know from previous threads that this is a sensitive subject, but on two of my part 3 tests (conducted by the same SE), there were numerous, completely random non-subject related faults thrown in.

i know that pupil's can and will do that in reality.... but according to ADI 1 - that is not supposed to happen on the test

Hi I will take that on board and do my best to be a B*****d when i can ;-)
I will get my new kit next week.
Its the best in-car kit available with TV quailty picture and sound.
Its the same kit used by the Long way down and Spring watch teams.
I will be videoing away for the next few months so expect a lot more videos in super quailty very soon.
